• Statistics on  the Worldwide Status of Bible Translation, from Wycliffe Global Alliance.

• The Southgate Fellowship’s “Affirmations & Denials Concerning World Mission,” addresses critical issues in modern missions and Bible translation. “TSF exists to advance biblical thinking and practice in world mission, as captured in the solas of reformational theology.”

• The Arlington Statement on Bible Translation addresses key aspects of “Religious Idiom Translations,” and especially “Muslim Idiom Translations,” including the controversial “Divine Familial Terminology” debate

• Andrew Case of Betheden Ministries has as stimulating podcast (Working for the Word) where he explores issues related to Bible translation.

• Learn about Scripture engagement at the Forum of Bible Agencies International website.

Online Tools for Studying the Bible, Biblical Languages & Theology

• Aleph with Beth (of Betheden Ministries) provides free training in biblical Hebrew using a “communicative” or “living language” approach.

• Alpha with Angela provides free training in Koine Greek using a “communicative” or “living language” approach.

• Lingua Deo Gloria exists to serve the people of God by providing free, online teaching and producing free biblical Hebrew and Greek resources. Their instructors use a communicative “living language” approach with “comprehensible input” tools.

• The NET Bible Study Environment is a fantastic, free online tool for Bible study resources, and one worthy of emulating in future Bible translation projects worldwide when it comes to footnoting the translation team’s decisions.

• Learn to study your Bible through Biblearc.com. Includes free Greek, Hebrew, English, Spanish, German, French, and Romanian Bibles, with tons of videos and articles on arcing and bracketing, to learn to trace the flow of thought in a passage. See also John Piper’s method of Biblical exegesis.

• The Tyndale House has many resources for Bible study and scholarly research.

• Dave Black’s New Testament Greek Portal lists dozens of sites, articles and resources for biblical studies.
